Sit quietly where you will not be disturbed.
Be aware of your Light Body, or Mer-Ka-Ba, if you can. If you cannot, then just be aware of a tube of light that is embedded inside your body. If you are Buddhist, you may be aware of this tube. It is similar to a fluorescent tube in that it is straight and glass-like and about the same diameter.

Like breathing, seeing is not something you need to do, rather it is something which you allow. Most people, however, do not appreciate that seeing is essentially a passive process. They strain to count the stars in the sky, to read the tiny print of newspapers, and to keep awake while studying organic chemistry long into the night. Different parts of the Eye of Horus were thought to be used by the ancient Egyptians to represent one divided by the first six powers of two:
The right side of the eye = 1/2
The pupil = 1/4
The eyebrow = 1/8
The left side of the eye = 1/16
The curved tail = 1/32
The teardrop = 1/64
If that's a little confusing, here's what it would look like if drawn out in a square:

The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health. The eye is personified in the goddess Wadjet (also written as Wedjat, or "Udjat", Uadjet, Wedjoyet, Edjo or Uto). It is also known as ''The Eye of Ra''....

The symbolism of the eye occurs in so many places and in so many different forms that its pervasiveness symbolizes the "All Seeing Eye" itself. The eye is closely associated with the idea of light and of the spirit, and is often called the "mirror of the soul." When a person dies one of the first things that is done is that the eyes are closed, a timeless gesture that signifies the Shirley Twofeathershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05911925862486389242noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36656482.post-49787223246338971792013-08-25T07:00:00.000-05:002013-08-25T07:00:00.673-05:00ZenTangle Mandala Collection

When the mind of the Yogi is in harmony and finds rest in the Spirit within,
all restless desires gone, then he is a Yukta, one with God.
Then his soul is a lamp whose light is steady,
for it burns in a shelter where no winds come. ...
He sees himself in the heart of all beings and he sees all beings in his heart.
This is the vision of the Yogi of harmony,&Shirley Twofeathershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05911925862486389242noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36656482.post-58672824600059562662013-08-23T07:00:00.000-05:002013-08-23T07:00:14.008-05:00Visiting Enso Art by Casey Shannon

This Deiryu enso was made with a dry brush in pale gray ink. The ink has pooled beyond the lines of the enso, giving it a soft quality. Belonging to Zen Buddhism, the Enso is a circle, drawn quickly and simply with a brush stroke although years of practice in the art of calligraphy are likely to have preceded the ease with which the symbol can be drawn. The Enso symbolizes eternity, the perfect meditative state, the "no thing," and enlightenment.
What follows is a collection of Zen Enso Circles in a variety of styles and Shirley Twofeathershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05911925862486389242noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36656482.post-24314499034310313082013-08-19T07:00:00.000-05:002013-08-19T07:00:12.992-05:00The Simplicity Of A Circle
A circle is one of the simplest forms imaginable, yet Zen Buddhists believe this unassuming shape holds great meaning. For centuries, Buddhist monks and artists have created these brushwork circles to express their truth. Some of these artists even hold that the Enso, or Zen circle, is a graphic depiction of enlightenment itself.
Take a moment and contemplate this circle, and notice thatShirley Twofeathershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05911925862486389242noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36656482.post-79921085064859474502013-08-18T12:40:00.001-05:002013-08-18T12:40:42.540-05:00Another Cat Mandala To Color
