All that God created

All that God created was already
in God's presence before the world began,
before the beginning of time.
All that exists, exists for the glory of God.
God desires that all the world be pure in his sight.
So do not injure the earth.
Do not destroy the earth.
God I'm your opus.
Before time began, I was an idea in your mind.
All that God wills, I will.
The soul is kissed by God in its innermost regions.

Glance at the sun.
See the moon and the stars.
Gaze at the beauty of earth’s greenings.

Now,
Think.

An Egyptian Creation Mandala To Color

Nut was the goddess of the sky. She had long dark hair and her body was covered with beautiful stars. When she stretched out her arms and legs, she covered the whole world, and her arms and legs touched the four corners of the world.

Her brother Seb was the god of the earth. Seb was as large as his sister, and he reached out to the four corners of the world and joined hands with her where the sky touched the earth.

I Stand Before The Earth Maker

I stand before the Earth Maker and offer my unspoken prayer.
My head is held high in worshipful silence before the great Mystery above.
I look to the hills and there I see His strength.
His reach extends to the whole universe and all help comes from Him.
He puts in order all that I see -- the heavens, the earth,
the trees and leaves of the forest, sign of the four winds.
The wide world which I see measures the strength of my Great Father!!!

When grapes turn

When grapes turn
to wine, they long for our ability to change.

When stars wheel
around the North Pole,
they are longing for our growing consciousness.

Wine got drunk with us,
not the other way.
The body developed out of us, not we from it.

We are bees,
and our body is a honeycomb.
We made
the body, cell by cell we made it.

Mandala Mondays

From Jakk's Magic Beans Workshop comes this really cool idea.

"This is my not-so-secret mission to spread the word that we are NEVER too old to color. Trust me, coloring mandalas is the best kind of coloring of all! It is a peaceful project that can support and enhance well-being by relieving stress. I love to create mandalas for you to color, share and enjoy. One mandala can be colored a million different ways, so why not color a mandala a day?!"

Simply download the free PDF coloring book quality copies offered on the site, and treat yourself to a fresh box of crayons, colored pencils, or markers.

Please submit your colored mandala (scanned or photographed) to be posted to the Monday Mandalas album in the Gallery and you will be automatically entered into the monthly drawing for a chance to win a pair of colorful Jakk's Magic Beans Workshop earrings.

Isn't this a cool idea? Why not support Jakk and have some fun playing and coloring, and then follow through by actually submitting the mandala? Who knows, you might even win something really nifty! The mandala at the top of this post is today's Monday Mandala, lovingly created by Jakk, to get a really good copy of it to color, visit her site and download the pdf.

Why create a mandala?

Here are a number of really good reasons to begin to create your own personal mandala art as a journal or as a meditative practice.

  • Because it has the regenerative and curative power to activate the latent powers of the mind. The meditative process helps to focus and open the heart to the healing power of unconditional love.

  • Because it has a calming and relaxing effect on the mind and body, thus focusing and strengthening the will to heal.

  • Because it can bring joy as it facilitates the healing of a sense of psychological fragmentation.

  • Because it can make the invisible visible - expressing paradoxical situations or patterns of ultimate reality that can be expressed in no other way.

  • Because it can reveal unity between human existence and the structure of the cosmos - opening up a perspective in which things can be understood as a whole.

  • Because it can give form and expression to an intuitive insight into spiritual truth by releasing the inner light of the soul.

When our eyes see

When our eyes see our hands doing the work of our hearts,
the circle of Creation is completed inside us,
the doors of our souls fly open
and love steps forth to heal everything in sight.

It is...

It is the artist's mission to penetrate...in the womb of nature, in the primal ground of creation where the secret key to all things lies hidden.
